Your Ceremony Content
Would you like to include any personal vows? *
Any personal vows must be approved by the Superintendent Registrar prior to the ceremony. Please email them to registration.ceremonies@surreycc.gov.uk before your ceremony day. If the vows have not been approved by the Superintendent Registrar, they will not be included in your ceremony.
Are you rededicating your original rings or exchanging new rings? *
Please note: Animals, birds, fish, insects and reptiles, including your own pets, are not allowed to be present or to take part in the ceremony (including gazebo ceremonies).
Readings - must not have any religious content.
Your reading, poem or personal message must be short in length and approved by the Superintendent Registrar prior to the ceremony. Please email to registration.ceremonies@surreycc.gov.uk at least 6 weeks before your ceremony. If any reading has not been approved before the ceremony day, it will not be able to be included in the ceremony.

Readings must not contain religious content, such as a passage from the Bible
Music - must not have any religious content.
All music content must be approved by the Superintendent Registrar prior to the marriage. If any music has not been approved before the ceremony day, it will not be included in your ceremony. The Surrey Registration Service reserve the right to refuse live music performances if it is likely that the setting up or removing of the equipment will delay your ceremony or any other ceremony being held on the Premises.
What music have you chosen for your ceremony? *
Music must not be religious eg. hymns
If you are providing your own music, please bring this with you on the day of your ceremony. All your music must be recorded on one device in the order that you wish it to be played (no compilation albums please). If you would like to check that your music works on the Register Office system, please take it into the office for testing between 9:00 - 16:30 hours Monday to Friday only. We cannot be held responsible for your music not working on our system. Personal sound equipment cannot be connected to our power supply.
We will do our best to keep you apart so that you do not see each other before the ceremony but this cannot always be guaranteed. You may wish to nominate a guest to help the registrars, particularly if the office is busy.
Further information for your ceremony

The Registrar will make an announcement before the ceremony starts to advise your guests that photographs cannot be taken during the ceremony.
